More About Ayurveda Dosha

Ayurveda Dosha is a humor that forms the human body. According to Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Dosha are the pillars of good and flawless health. Three types of Ayurveda Dosha has been described in ancient texts of Ayurveda like Charaka Samhita viz Vata dosha, Pitta dosha and Kapha dosha. Nevertheless, the great surgeon Sushruta includes Rakta (the blood) dosha as a fourth dosha.

Though it is quite difficult to define all ayurveda doshas in modern terminology but health experts believe that Vata dosha is the humor that regulates the nervous systems and all bodily movements are due to it. The Pitta dosha is responsible for all bodily metabolism (this includes digestion, absorption and assimilation of anything that is consumed) and Kapha dosha is bodybuilding material. Kapha dosha is also responsible for body’s immune power maintenance and is structural unit for body tissues and cells.

Ayurveda doshas, if in harmony, builds the body and maintains its health but if they are disturbed, deteriorated or altered, produce several health ailments. You can find ayurvedic doctor or ayurveda physician who can determine your ayurveda doshas and help in healing the signs and symptoms you carry. Ayurvedadosha can be kept in balance by regular exercising (preferably holistic exercises such as Yoga and Pranayama), eating healthy diet (such as dark green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits) and adopting a healthy lifestyle.
